i have always felt that a three inch barrel defeats the purpose of a J frame.
Well, if you ever get a chance, try shooting one of the new 3" model 60-15's.

They shoot very nicely, have adjustable sights, and handle 357 Magnum better than the short barrel J's. I can shoot mine better than I shoot the 2" J frames.

Also, you get a little more velocity out of a give load, and a full extractor stroke.

I consider my 3" 60-14 heavy barrel much easier to carry than a K Frame & it's more accurate than any other .357 I've ever shot.

Galco off the shelf, El Paso Saddlery if you can wait for a quality rig[and of course, they are a little more pricey BUT worth it]
I am constantly amazed at folks who think they need bigger britches for IWB carry.I some cases your regular pants will work just fine, IF NOT, wear the IWB holster out side your pants and behind your belt. There is very little difference in comfort or concealablity.Hey, Mikey, "schirye" it you'll like it! Nick

I have a Don Hume IWB for the 3" J frame in left hand configuration. Believe me, that took some searching for. I would recommend the Don Hume they work well.

I've never liked iw holsters; they're uncomfortable and, being small, make me look like I'm wearing a truss. I do have one for an M36/60; a Bianchi made of soft leather, like deer hide only some thicker, with a metal hook for the pants, but I never use it. My favorites for ccw are pancake and slide holsters. I have one belt slide holster that I used in LE and had no trouble concealing a full size 1911.
