At today's Crossroads of the West Phoenix Gun Show I snagged another Model 21, 4" (.44 Special).....

I appears to have been very lightly fired and not holstered.......came with the box & docs.

I have a very hard time passing up N-Frames chambered in .44.........................

Wonderful revolver! Found and bought one a few years back. Try Winchester Cowboy action loads. In my revolver ... virtually one hole at 7 yds. SA/DA. At 10 yds., one inch SA. On out ... still shoots as good as my now less than perfect vision will permit. Put a tiny bit of white/red/orange or whatever enamel paint on the front sight. Makes it easy to pick up against a black B-27 ... or whatever you might find in the woods/fields. Have a Bianchi 111 for my N-frames. It would be a good choice if you choose to carry your 21-4. CCI makes a 200 gr. JHP load in the Blazer line using Gold Dots. Extremely good load for serious business. POI is a slight bit ... maybe 1 inch or so above POA at 15 yds. Simply excellent load. Just about the very best fixed sight revolver S&W ever has produced. You are most fortunate. Sincerely. bruce.

Yes-sir-ree-bob! there is something SPECIAL about the 44 special - and you got a beaut, my friend.

In days gone by, my friend my old friend"Bill," (up in Mark's country; Indiana, PA) - was cranking out 44 special loads that surpassed my 357 loads. It was then that I realized how special that caliber was. Plus the fact that factory loads of the day were easy shooting rounds. . . I always admired the looks of the 44 Military, could never find one and ultimately wound up buying a Triple-Lock . . .Anyway, congrats,Geeze, it is a real prize.

You bring back memories Hank.........I have a coupla friends who went to school in Indiana, PA (one grew up there too) and a passel of friends from Black Lick......and then of course my family in the Sarver & Leechburg area. Dad's sister had a dairy farm outside of Leechburg and as a kid I used to marvel at the difference between us running beef cattle in the southwest and my cousins with dairy cows in the northeast........altogether different worlds.
