Your model 442 left the factory in 1995. It’s a very good cc revolver. I had a 642, the stainless version, for a long time and was my daily companion.

We've never had a 442 but enjoy the 638 very much.

 

I just added a Performance Center 442 to the mix. I’ve only put 50 rounds through it so far, but I’m really liking it.

I have a 642 and it does get carried a lot. Very light and nice to shoot. Great gun to have handed down.

 

Nice 442.

I also have a 442 no dash from the same period. Shoots very nicely.

Mine is Nickel, so it looks like a 642, but it's not.

For a few years from product into, S&W offered the 442 with satin Nickel.

That grip have a belt hook or are you running a holster?

 

No belt hook on the grip. No holster yet. I’m still not comfortable with the speed in which I can reload so it is not yet in my carry rotation.
