In servicing a Govenor revolver that had been exposed for several hours to a harsh wet environment that required a complete breakdown, cleaning, and re-lube it was obvious that the design of the Govenor cylinder components had changed from the reliable, historic, former design. I haven’t yet compleated a stress analysis to better understand this design change but one thing is crystal clear: it’s cheaper to produce. The question remains about wether or not functionality and strength were enhanced or degraded. So far, the new design seems adequate. Where can I obtain a Govenor parts list and schematic (graphic parts layout)? Thanks in advance.
