Jonesy passed on this so I contacted the seller. He was a bit odd but we managed to strike a deal on the gun and around 1200 rounds of ammo. It was a three hour drive to meet the seller and after showing him my original C&R license and giving him a signed copy and paying him he accused me of forging my FFL papers and demanded a background check at the gun shop we met at. After completing the transfer he demanded that the clerk give him a copy of the paperwork which included my SS number. I finally had enough and told the clerk the he should never give this information out and told the seller that he was done and needed to leave now. The positive part is that the gun is near perfect and wearing near perfect non relieved target stocks that are numbered and from 1955. The weird effects in the photos are my finger smears in the Ballistol that I sprayed on the gun. The bad part is that the gun is a 1957. Anyway I’m happy with the gun and the price so the rest is not important. Time to hit the range!
