in regards to slide stop diffficulties, i’m wondering if owners are manually locking it or letting the slide lock it? it can make a difference in my experience

this helped me:
Great video, but I disagree with the "stop doing that" mentality. You are supposed to be able to manually lock the slide back without an empty mag. In fact, its required if you have a fully loaded gun and you need to clear it and show that it's clear. So yea, other than the "stop doing that" line, I agree. I also agree that it is a slide stop, not a slide release. If you want to release it, pull the slide back.
yes. “stop doing that” is for all of those who complain about not being able to drop the slide, and don’t take the time to understand why first.

STOP DOING THAT
YOU SAY YOU HAVE FULLY LOADED GUN AND YOU NEED TO CLEAR ITAND SHOW THAT ITS CLEAR YOU FIRST DROP MAG SO STOP DOING THAT LOL
IF YOU HAVE TO SHOW SOME BODY ITS CLEAR ITS REQUIRED CLEAR IS UNLOADED
But i agree too pull the slide back lol you talk like your doing range drills with range officer
had to kid you

So, I tried the firing pin block test. If I let the pin go slowly, I'm able to push it back out again. But if I lift my finger off while applying pressure so it snaps off the back of the pin, it works as intended.

As for the trigger bar, this is what I see. Looks like it's making sufficient (albeit not ideal) contact, but I will defer to those that know better than I.
