Hey , why not , after all -

They did not cause any of the problems that our country faces today.

They did not get mortgages they couldn't afford.

They did not run banks to the ground with greed.

They did not use investors for their personal benefit.

I'm tired of paying mortgage bills, utility bills, property taxes.

I want to live more simply, pack up Mr Kane and move into a travel-trailer.

I don't mind being called 'trailer trash', but I wanted to get your opinion.

Click the link to see the lil' trailer that seems about right for Kane and me . What do you think ?

I know things seem bad right now George, but they will get better. Don't lower your standard of living like that. Hang in there. :D

I think I could "downgrade" my standard of living, and live like that....Especially with the Mercedes in the belly of that Beast.....Probably need a Space Shuttle License to drive it.....

I've tried a couple of times to talk my wife into renting or selling our house, and buying a 68 to 75-foot, aluminum-hulled Houseboat to live on.....She asked "Why?"...I replied: "I don't have to mow the Lake". :D

At one time my Wife and I thought about moving into a houseboat, but decided that a Condo would better fit our needs. Here are a couple of units we were interested in:

Wonder how Mr. Kane's tongue will look flapping in the breeze at 160 mph in the Mercedes? You can drop him off in style at the doggie spa.

The trailer probably has an indoor pistol range. Is there an outhouse to tow behind?

It's got to be rough having to give up the luxuries of home to travel the country in such squallor.

I bet Corlinda & I could live pretty high on the hog for at least 20 years on what they paid for that coach. Life is so hard for some.
I almost feel sorry for them. I'll bet they have no real idea what camping is all about.

Regards,
Gregory

Widetrack, if there's any grade in your driveway, that thing would high center and become one with the land. My wife and I considered one of these a while ago. But when it's all said and done, you will be living in a motor home that will be parked next to a bunch of other RV's that contain folks who will drink ALL of your beer if given the chance.

Yep that RV is def the life of luxury . Pretty sure it's well over $1 million , without the Mercedes .

As an aside when my oldest was bout 12 my parents toured via RV around the West and up into Canada w him one summer .
He was w them for 6 wks ! Jeez , I never had it that good . ;)

RD , those pics of the trailer park are a hoot . Kinda cool in a very odd way . Not too sure about windy conditions tho .

Dart , Mr Kane LOVES to ride in the car , as most dogs do . When we used to go to the dog park I think he enjoyed the ride there MORE than the park itself .

SD , tsk , tsk , those folks don't drink lowly beer . It's wine with fine dining of course .

A guy I worked for had a 55 ft custom-built cigar boat that had everything . Jacuzzi , recessed into the floor wine cooler , 2 slots in the aft that allowed 2 ski-doos to be stored there . Two supercharged engines that turned out something like 600+ HP each .
We went out on it every summer and it was always an event .

Ah , to have it all !
In reality most those folks DON"T have it all .
Not real happiness .

Regards ,
George

Actually people with those rv's do ok. They are usually totally retired and want to tour the Country. They will get jobs in campgrounds, getting free hook up and working the campground for a few $. They will stay in one area for months, they really get to know the area rather than just driving through. When they get bored of that part of the Country, they get online and find another campground in an area they want to visit, they prearrange their hook up and jobs. If you are not burning gas everyday and living virtually rent free, with a few bucks going into your pocket, you do ok.

George - I say go for it. You only live once. I will be happy to drive...lol. That is a neat motor home! That would get you on the "Rich and Famous" show.
