----FOUND ONE, THANKS----

Looking for a new or like new 1894C in .357. If I've got my model numbers correct it's the straight stocked rifle with 18 1/2" round, blued barrel.

I read on a Marlin forum not too long ago that a fellow bought one at a Cabelas store in Febuary for under $500.00, my local dealer wants $595.00 out the door. Might be worth a call. Dave.

Thanks Dave,
Might be worth a trip to Cabelas. My local dealer quoted me $500 plus tax but can't find one so am trying the secendary market (MSRP is $560)

Thanks for the heads up, Pete. I had a similar problem with a 336 and found that I was cycling the action too slowly. Looks like you found the right load for yours, nice group!
