Check out NC Ordnance. You can get excellent black plastic replacements that will tolerate handling far better than old Bakelite.

I looked them up, thanks. Pretty decent price for re-pros, but if I can find a left one that is original I wold prefer that.
BTW, the NC Ordinance website as about as poorly organized as any I have ever seen.

I also wanted to mention that the originals aren't Bakelite. They are a rubber compound known as Gutta Percha. totally different material, and actually a lot more flexible than Bakelite.

Anyway, thanks again for the suggestion.
