I am new. I was a pawnbroker for 8 years or so and really stared to value and read a lot but these blew me away when I seen the first one. All serial #s match on the colt. 36 police of navy cal 1863. Then I seen the Smith And Wesson. I told her these are very nice handguns also that possibly antique. Not looking to sell but I would like to print her some paperwork and gestamates of value. Thank you all

Gunbroker's 90 day history, the auction houses etc. will be your best sources on the Colt. As far as the S&W I have responded to your duplicate posts.

Some great old guns there with a lot of history. As for the Colt may look as suggested on GB or try the Colt Forum and read some past posts about the old Colt Single Actions.

Colt does have a way to trace the history of that pistol. My brother did that with great-great grandpa's pistol.
