One is a HE the other 3 1/4" is a Regulation police. Got the 4 1/4" on off back-page for a steal the other off GB. Both are great shape outside, little pitting in the barrels but both don't seem to mind! I stuck some aftermarket "J" Frame grips on them cause the grips they came with are so dinky! The HE is #2814XX and the RP is #3810XX. Cheap to shoot! Accurate out to over 100 meters on steel! View over the sights on the HE at the Steel torso target at about 108 meters! Easy to hit!

Sergeant the regulation police was likely shipped in 1924. The older gun, the hand ejector, was ether made in 1917 or 1919. We would have to track down someone like Hondo 44 who maintains a database of these to get closer.

I have my paternal grandfather's regulation police that shipped in 1924. It has a serial number near to yours. It's a 4 and 1/4 inch gun.
