Both guns appear to be in very good condition and you are fortunate that they are in their original boxes with tools. You didn’t give us the caliber but I will assume that they both are .38 S&W Special.
The first one is a military and police K frame revolver probably from the 50s to early 60s. The second one is a K-38 Masterpiece from the same time period as the first revolver. Note that the latter revolver was produced in .22LR and ..32l S&W Long as well as .38 spl.
Perhaps someone with more knowledge will be along and provide more specific information base on the serial numbers.

Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! You have a 38 Military and Police revolver from around 1947 and a K22 Masterpiece Target revolver from around 1948. Both with box papers and tools. I'd put the 38 in the $800 range and the K22 in the $1,200 range.

One is 38 smith and Wesson special and the other is .22. So will .38 special work or is this a special caliber?

The fixed sight gun is designed for .38 S&W Special cartridges (CTG). The adjustable sight gun is designed for .22 Long Rifle cartridges (CTG) and can shoot .22 S&W (short) as well.

Wow, you are lucky, you got an amazing deal on those. Thank you for posting. Can someone tell, do those both have the grips with the wide shoulders, it looks like the pre model 10 does but I can't tell with the K22. Very nice pistols.
