22/32 Airweight Kit Gun, built in 1955. Got it at a gun show a few years back. It was marked as a pre-57 model 34 and said make an offer. I think there was only 3 revolvers in the whole place, a 6 inch 28-2, a Spanish M10 copy and this one.
I had just sold a rifle for $250 that I paid $150 for, and had a Stainless bull barreled Buck Mark that I had $300 invested in to trade. First off I had the guy tell me what my pistol was worth to him. He said $290 plus another $10 for the spare magazine. I offered the Buckmark and $150, but no go so, dropping 2 hundred dollar bills on top of my Buck Mark, I told him it was my top offer. The gunlooked fairly rough. It was filthy and possibly had some weak spots in the blueing on the frame. He accepted the offer and it was mine.
When I got it home I broke out cleaning supplies & the standard catalog. Something wasn’t making sense. Then I realized that it was not a pre 34, but a pre 43. Frame is anodized, not blued and was fine once I got all the gunshot residue and dirt off. Looks a lot better than in the pictures. Shoots nice too. It only gets CCI standard velocity rounds. Don’t want to stress that aluminum cylinder
