Ok, what guns (rifles, shotguns, etc) are on your short list right now?

Myself, this year has been a very good one for me, my list got much shorter with my 624, my Model 29 4-inch, my Triple Lock, my OM Flat Top .357 and my NM Ruger .44 Flat Top. But I still have a couple of guns on there, an 1851 Navy Colt replica (I know, very cheap but haven't got the money at the moment), a really clean Model 10 6-inch, a .32-20 M & P, a .38-40 Colt New Service, a Model 1895 Winchester carbine in .30-40, and a nice Mauser Broomhandle.

Model 19-1. A nice one.
A Jan. 1960 Model 19, maybe one and the same gun? Not sure if that would be a 19 no dash, if so then these 2 19s.
Drew's 1962 19-2 has my attention as well.

Here is my shortlist:

Model 28-2, 4", blued
Python, 4", blued
Walther P-08, interwar
Soviet Makarov

I already have a Winchester 1895 in .30-40 that I inherited from my great-grandfather, through my dad. :D

I'm like Carl, my short list is very long. More so for me as I am just getting serious about buying and collecting. To date, it has been quantity (though cheap) and now I would like to find a few quality as well.

I think first on my list would be an N frame 357. Then something in 44 Mag. A 57 or 58 would be very high on the list as well.

In the S&W: 3" (+ or -) N frame in .45 caliber, both Colt & ACP, or a .455 if it shows up. Chopped & modified ok, shooters are primary interest.

Or just about anything else that catches my eye. Maybe a 38 Special New Service.

Well.........This year I finally got an old Mauser action .30-06 at an affordable price, that I have been wanting to get for many years. That's good enough for this year. ;) 'Course next year......it'll be something else. It might be a SA Ruger Blackhawk in .357. Giz kinda got me interested, awhile back!!!! mc9fn Bob

SW model 40 and 42 nickel NIB
SW pre model 19 combat magnum NIB

Found a pre 19 NIB in Tulsa and offered 2500.00 with a quick no from the seller I did not bid again. Could not get him to price it. If I see it this year I will hit 2800.00. I want one bad.

That would hold me over for a month or 2. nvpAN

My short list.
#1 on my list. K-22 Masterpiece. 4" or 6" barrel. I want one more than any other revolver or pistol I can think of.
I REALLY WANT ONE !!!!!

Model 19-3 Combat Magnum or lower dash #, Blued finish Pinned & Recessed anything in a 4" or 6" barrel.

Colt AR-15. I missed one this year and nearly forgot how badly I want one of those too.

Any other pre-lock S&W REVOLVER that I can get my checkbook close enough to.

I want to amend my previous post and add a Colt Python. Blue, four inch barrel. I got the itch for one of those. More like an incurable crotch rash. You know, one of those things where you just gotta scratch but are afraid to touch it? Might spread, ya know?
