I'm looking to get one of these pistols one day, and put either real or faux stag/jigged grips on it. Can anyone tell me if there is a modern S&W frame size (K or L?) that is the same as the old Triple Lock? If so, then I can get the grips before I find the gun.

It would be an N Frame but I am not sure that the pre ww2 frame is exactly the same as a modern one, but should be very close

The original grips on the triple lock were non medallion concave Walnut grips. Later on they were Round Top medallions plated in gold. The earlier grips are very hard to find and quite pricey if you can find them. The grip frame on the pre-World War II N frames is about an eighth of an inch longer than post-war N frames. Your best bet is to get someone like Ken Driscoll or Pat Grashorn to make some elk horn stag grips for it.
