I see a LOT of posts saying that they are the "Holy Grail" of grips. However, I rarely see any posts about how much they cost. I've found a few posts that are ~15 years old where people talk of paying $400-500 and other posts talking about $1000-1500 for Ropers Grips! However, I can't find any recent mention of values or posts where they are sold. I realize that's because they are so rare.

However...

I'm just trying to get a ballpark for what they are valued at now. I know there is some nuance, since all are custom fit to someone's hand.

Yes, I know this is a S&W forum, but I picked up an old Colt that had Roper grips on it for a Shooting Master (I know for a fact they are real Ropers) and I'm trying to get a general value on them.

Those do look to be very legitimate Ropers right down to the little rectangular jig holes.
I would think 4 to $500 is not out of reach as is. But with a little professional "freshening up" and locater pin hole repair you could do better if,,,,,,,,,,,,,, you find a Roper appreciator.
That's really the hard part, they are a specialized, acquired taste for very specific collectors.
Now what I wanna see is that Shooting Master !!!!!!!! Been looking for one for years .

Over on the Blue S&W forum they have several very knowledgeable Roper guys that could be a good deal of help.
