Thank you. Any idea what this may be worth? Its not in mint condition, but is very clean, and works perfectly

S&W made hundreds of thousands of these revolvers. So, unless one is unfired in mint condition in the original box or was owned by some important person, they are not very valuable. Most like yours sell for around $200 in my area.

Ain't that the truth? S&W customers of the time sure seemed to love "shine." Too bad the company didn't know how to prevent it peeling off so often.
It’s a shame. So many nice guns except for the flaky nickel. At least when blue goes it has well worn look.
