I have to sell some items do to not working lately. I’m having a hard time pinning down the value of my S&W 19-5. The barrel measures 2 7/16 inches. I would appreciate any help I can get thanks. It’s .357 blue. I paid 400$ I have box and paperwork. What I do not have is the original grips.

Thats nice, and that barrel length is extremely hot right now. If it were mine, I wouldnt take less than $650, and it would sell fast at that. The last one I saw like that was at a gun show a couple years ago and the guy was asking $659.99, and it didnt have the box. I would ask $700 and go from there

I think you might be able to get more than 700. Least here in Florida I think you could. If you have some time I’d buy some factory round butt grips. Even if they don’t number (I’m not sure when they stopped numbering either) they will probably add more value to your gun then you would spend on em. I think I got a set for mine for 25 bucks off eBay. The box makes it a pretty nice package and in my opinion the original box is a bigger deal then not having that particular set of grips because they’re easy to replace unlike the box. Square target grips or something are a lil different because those go for like a 100 or more.

I agree that he could probably get over $700 in many parts of the country. I wouldnt be surprised if it brought $800+ in a GB auction, but the OP said he was selling to pay bills so he probably wants to sell it fairly quick. At $700 or maybe even $750, it should go fairly fast

Welcome to the forum! Agree with the others in that you will have no problem selling that beauty fast, especially if asking $700. Good luck.

Always start high. You can always come down, but you can't go up. I learned that lesson once when I had a dozen "I'll take it." messages in the first hour.
