hi , I was just looking at a late 1920's early 1930 vintage M&P 6 incher nickeled , appears factory , but under the barrel and grips frame there is not the traditional "N" , were allr nickeled S&W marked with the "N"
please advise, many thanks rojo

During the late 'teens, the 20's and part of the 1930's, the 'N' appeared sporadically, and often not at all.

Nothing set in stone on these. I have 2 nickel guns with the N stamp that letter as blue guns. So they will go either way.
