I am a newbie to the forum but look foward to checking the posts (old & new) to learn more about the Smiths. Without (or maybe) sounding dumb, what exactly is a triple lock?

they were called triple locks because of the third lock located at the front of the yoke cut. there by locking the cylinder at the front of the ejector rod,the rear of the ejector rod and the yoke....
heres the lock on mine..... a 1914 .455 T-lock

they were / are considered to be some of the finest revolvers built by S&W.....
