Mt. Katadin from Millinocket Lake....
happyrollerQuarter Cherokee said:It wasn't too hot today, it only got up to 102. By 8:00 AM, I was flipping flapjacks and frying eggs on the hood of my Jeep. By 4:00 PM, I was roasting a turkey and some potatoes inside the Jeep with the windows rolled up. I was outside looking in. Just so you know, okay? By 5:00 PM, I was inside the storage shed using it as a sweat lodge. With the door open. Low humidity here, so I had to boil some water on a Coleman stove to make it feel like the real thing. By 6:00 PM I put some bisquits on the concrete slab out back to bake and by 6:30 - 6:40 everything was ready. We were all sitting in the walk-in freezer sipping tequila and enjoying a fine meal by 7:00 PM. Nope, not very hot today. It'll be a real scorcher tomorrow, though. Hot enough to grill some steaks on the wrought iron fence.
