Just to be different, I lugged my 4516-1 around all day today..... Nice Gun and it shoots well, but I think I've been carrying a Glock 22 too long.... I always look for the sights alot lower then they ride in relation to my hand....

I found a personal 'Goal Gun' (not to be confused with Gizamo's 'Grail Gun') last spring..... an "A 800,000" serialed, fixed sight 639. I love it, but it needs another 1,000 rounds before it's truely broken in....

Leighton,

My 639 was about new when I got it.... stiff and rough. I've been dryfiring it a good deal and it's smoothing out nicely. It's still in it's initial 3-400 round break in period and has been a little bawky.

But for all of that, whatta tank of a pistol. Hefty and substantial. Just handling this gun one get the impression that it can take alot of use and still be there when you need it the most.

I've owned, shot and carried many 39-2's which I liked, but none of them give me the sort of rough-n-ready sense I get from that fixed sight, all stainless steel 639.

Drew, I feel the same way. I have a 5906 and the 639 just seems to balance better that the 5906. I feel that she along with my 3913 are two of the best 9MM made.
