WOW thanks everyone, i didnt really expect all the great feed back from my first post, but i really appreciate it. As of yet ive still not fired it, im going to go out and get a couple of boxes of 38 specails for it, for when i do take it out. Ive allready got a box of 110 smjh win and a box of 125 sjsr rem. I bought the gun for home protection, so i do like the shorter barrel, and i dont carry so the little larger size fits my hand preity well. I must admit though with the short barrel, what kind of accuracy i could expect at a resonable range. Well i guess ill find that out when take it shooting. Untill then, i just wanted to check back in and say thanks again. From me and my gun with the lock.

The two and a half inch model is just as accurate as a four or six inch bbl 686. The sight radius is the difference and sometimes will show up in how well you shoot. Since you bought the gun for home protection where distances will be short if you ever have to use it, I would practice from that point and I think you will find you'll do just fine.
