I've often said I couldn't decide rather I like the Model 19 or the Model 15 more. I'm still not sure, but it appears the Model 19's are edging ahead on points. I'm up to four to one, 19's favor now, after picking this one up yesterday.
It's a -3 from about 1970. It has a few flaws, a little muzzle wear and such, but has really nice trigger, and locks up tight as new. It was kinda funky when I got it home, but a few minutes work with Flitz and Ren Wax made it presentable for mixed company.
Once again, I found myself in a position of not wanting to stand in line to get to the handgun counter, so I checked Ali-Babba's online site, and saw the Model 19. I knew it was a lost cause and hit the "buy it" button and went by later in the evening to pick it up.
I might be in trouble now that I've found out I can do that.
