Finally got around to taking a picture of my "carry" P232. Also my only Crimson Trace pistol.

Details on the Crimson Trace part of your 232. My 232 might need an upgrade.

Oops, never mind. It's been discontinued. Not even available on the secondary market (fleabay, etc).

All 232's are .380.

The parent gun, the Sig 230, was available in .32 ACP, .380, and 9mm.
The info I read made no mention of that changing with the 232.
Well if you find a 230 or 232 in 9x19 let me know because I've never seen or heard of one. ;)

Note, 9mm Kurz is not "9mm" ( 9x19 parabellum) it's .380.

OK - the article I had looked at definitely listed those 3 calibers - and yes, I know quite well that .380 auto, 9mm short, and 9mm Kurz are the same thing - the entry definitely said "9x19".

Of course now I see that it has been edited - before it had the 3 calibers listed with no parentheses - and now "9mm short" is after .380 and is in parentheses. I should have taken a screen-shot.

No worries, internet authors make mistakes all the time- myself included. ;)

It was made in 32acp, 380acp, and 9x18 Ultra. Never 9x19. And yes, 380 is called 9mm Kurz (or short) in some parts of the world.

only the 230 IIRC, not the 232. As it was european police issue, good luck finding one.

.380 ACP / 9mm Kurz / 9mm Corto are also known as 9x17mm in Europe. None of which are to be confused with the 9x18mm Makarov.

9mm Luger / 9mm Parabellum / 9x19mm are what the German military Lugers shot. But... in Italy they are not allowed to have a "military" caliber, so they size their chambers to 9x21mm.

That Sig sure looks like a re-contoured Walther PPK. Is it direct blowback? Is the barrel attached to the frame?

Here's the Walther for comparison:

its a blowback, and the barrel is fixed to the frame.

Is that like a Walther?
