I have a new 1911 Colt continued-production. Wondering if I should fully strip it to oil pieces parts?

ALBERT Personally I would put at least 500 rounds through your 1911 before I did a complete strip. Even then your gun doesn't need to be completely striped. I have thousands of rounds through my colts, and I have yet to completely strip them. :)

Sure, taking them all apart is easy and it aids in keeping them running smoothly.

Push out the lower grip pin and they just fall apart. :)

Remove the thumb safety first....
