I have a new 1911 Colt continued-production. Wondering if I should fully strip it to oil pieces parts?

ALBERT Personally I would put at least 500 rounds through your 1911 before I did a complete strip. Even then your gun doesn't need to be completely striped. I have thousands of rounds through my colts, and I have yet to completely strip them.

Sure, taking them all apart is easy and it aids in keeping them running smoothly.

Push out the lower grip pin and they just fall apart.

Remove the thumb safety first....
