(Not to be confused with shotgun wedding)
I have two 12 ga. shotguns that I'm trying to pinpoint (to some degree) their born on dates. I have a general date range idea but I'd kinda like to pin it down a little more. The first one is a Stevens 67 Series E (#E3783XX). The other is a Winchester Model 37A (#C9805XX). Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanx.

I would suggest a forum called shotgunworld.com. They have info on all types of shotguns and can help a lot. Good Luck with finding the info.

According to Proofhouse.com, it looks like your Winchester was made in 1971

The Standard Catalog of Firearms in its description of the Stevens Model 67 says the model was discontinued in 1989.The Blue Book of Gun Values says the same and that all models of the Model 67 were made between 1986 to 1989 so that's about as close as we can come.

I called Winchester and some "historian guy" told me mine dated to 1980. The 37A was made in Canada from 1973-81, hence the "C" in the serial #. The gun is also stamped MADE IN CANADA.
