Can someone here tell me what year these guns were made or provide additional details such as which grips they may have come with, etc.?

Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! Before S&W issued model numbers in 1957, the Model 14 was called the K-38 Masterpiece, the Model 16 was the K-32 Masterpiece and the Model 17 was the K-22 Masterpiece. The 4" versions were called Combat Masterpieces. "Target" was not a part of the official name.

Years ago when I was learning what I liked to shoot, I bought and sold a lot of guns. The only one I ever really missed was a 5" .45 ACP Model of 1989. I bought the 25-2 to come as close as I could to replacing it. I got a deal on the other three revolvers too. The 14-6 had an amazing trigger job on it. I may end up enjoying that one more than the 25-2!
