In bolt action long guns we call that 'brass wipe' and it's a common occurrence due to the mechanics of how a cartridge is inserted into the chamber. All firearms will have a bit and like Jonsey state's the amount of 'shavings' is what is important. You need to examine the case head after firing to determine exactly where it's being removed on the fired cade itself and let us know.
