I finally got my problem with the brass for this little Savage. I removed a little off the base of the die.
Now the rounds chamber like they should. Here is a pic of the rifle and the target I shot on Sat. I didn't have 11 rounds of old production ammo. The first 4 were the high shots. Changed to a 6:00 hold on the 3in target for the next 4. I've got enough loaded now for a good range trip.
The little rifle is in good shape for a 95 year old. What I liked about it was it doesn't have a bunch of holes drilled for scope mounts.
