Wanted to share a couple of pictures of a model 25 that I picked up Friday.
The gun is in fairly decent shape overall, the bore is nice and shiny, can't find any areas of rust, the grips are in good shape.
According to S&W customer service it was manufactured in 1978. This gun is a beast !
Thanks, and I really should not be buying any guns at this time either but I had been working on the deal for this gun for awhile.....THEN as I am getting ready to leave with the gun, the gun shop manager brings from the back a super nice model 14-3 with a 8 3/8” barrel and says think about this.....I will hold on to it for you.......just let me know.
A big problem with these Model 25s that you don't notice with just a cursory glance is that they lead you down the path to more 25s and then the 625s and on and on. It can be a wallet draining experience.
Thanks guys, really appreciate all of the comments. And for a “stay at home project “ I am going to attempt to build a presentation case for the gun. If the case turns out to look respectable I will definitely post pictures
