If I'm not mistaken, the original 629's did. That is to say, the 629 no dashes.

Cush and BobW are correct.

However these late cases were somewhat different than the early 29-2 cases in that the 'clown mask' was gone and replaced by blue flocked foam. Tools are under a small, knobbed door.

Thanks guys, I spotted a 6 inch in the wood box, looks new but the price is a little high.

You're welcome, I'd say alot of people don't mention prices on the forum for many reasons and a gun could price out at more or less for the same reasons, location, condition etc.
I for one will not ever own a S&W with a lock in the frame, others it does not bother, but like you I would rather spend my money on what I like and collect, Pre-Lock Smith's. :D
