I hope some of you guys can help me with this nagging problem with my 627 Pro.

I bought the gun 2 years ago. I shoot it a lot, have have 20,000 rounds through it. The action is all original except the main spring has beed lightened a little. A couple months ago I started having problems with the action locking up. It happens when I get too fast on the trigger or I don't let it rebound quite all the way. So when shooting matches, I have to focus so much on trigger pull (slow down and extend the rebound) that target acquisition has become secondary, with terrible scoring results.

Could it be that the action is worn-out and needs a rebuild?

I'm almost to the point that I'm going to switch to a semi-auto!

Thanks

Sounds to me like you are just outrunning your trigger. I would guess a new $5 trigger return spring from wolf would fix it up. I read that Jerry miculek runs a heavy return spring for the very reason your indicating.
