Welcome to the forum from NE Georgia. Only problem is a lot of us have 27s in various dashes, but very few are willing to let them get away.

Hehe-)
Thanks to all. I’m looking just a cylinder. I got revolver on the GB , good overall condition, but one of the chambers has ellipses and case stuck when reload. If you shootings 357 -it’s very hard. I’m going to change the cylinder, but SW customer support can put only new style. -(.

Have you checked with "Jack First"?

Also, the primers look like they are backing out of the case upon firing. How is end shake / wear?

To swell a cylinder like that, it's likely that an over pressure round (that didn't fragment the cylinder) was fired. There could be a number of other issues with the revolver. The yoke may need replacement as well.

More than a project gun, it may need a trip to a good gunsmith with S&W revolver experience.

I think mrerick nailed it. I would not shoot it again until a good gunsmith checks it out and you replace that cylinder. cylinder-slide.com is a good outfit. Get a cylinder and send the whole package to them.

Ok, understood, thanks. Both of this sellers don’t have what I need. This revolver has a 6,5” barrel and shooting like rifle. I’m decided keep it because I can’t find any other issues with it. DD076D1B-4E0A-4500-BA9C-39C7CCB3C73F.jpeg Cylinder don’t have any issues from outside

Well, a model 28 would fit and could be blended with polishing and refinishing.
OR
You could think outside the box and talk to Gary Reeder about recutting your cylinder to 356 gnr.

https://www.reedercustomguns.com/

41 mag brass necked down to .357 , 125 gr. bullet at 2200fps. Quite a rocket launcher.
He sells dies but it would be a reloading thing forever.

OR

Give him a call anyway (928/527-0840 ) as he has leftover parts sometimes after caliber conversions or making custom cylinders.
