l bought two s&w22lr victory pistols.
I had a lot of Amscor 36 grain hollow point ammo. Most of the time the first shell would jam on the ramp. I tried several various brands and they all worked fine. The problem seems the Armscor ammo has more wax than other brands. I bought some stronger clip springs and solved the problem.
I have quite a bit of Armscor and I wanted a way to use it.

Welcome to the forum.

The SW Victory .22LR pistol is a direct blowback pistol. That means that the breech isn't locked during firing.

You may be dealing with wax shedding off the Armscor ammo bullets, but it could also be that you're dealing with initial breakin as the action, magazine spring and recoil spring work in.

These actions depend on having good support during the firing cycle. Make sure your shooting grip and position provide this.

Keep the ramp into the chamber clean. Don't ride the action as it loads, instead let it shut on it's own when you release the hold open.

Howdy, from Texas. The S&W Victory is hard to beat. I've never used that ammo, good thing you found a fix so you can use it.
