Just got my local email porn from Ruger and they made some type of Competition thingy based on their American series

Got me thinking.. Now I rented the American a few times at the range and it didnt endear itself to me. I am not a huge plastic 9 guy anyway but I came away pretty unimpressed by it. Wasnt bad .. wasnt good .. just wasnt exciting especially at the price they were asking when they first came out.

But

If I were going to work at a Gun shop as a designer or engineer I think I might like working there. Ruger must pump out a new model or new variation of something every 6 months it seems. At least you know you would always have work! Sometimes they work out great sometimes not so much (7shot GP) but .. they are always showing a new face and that .. is kind of cool.

When I rented one, it seemed high quality, but the ergonomics didn’t work for me. I got the thumb chafing.

For me .. not only didnt I love the grip but the Dingus was placed so that the point of it seemed to ride center of my index finger. Most guns I cant feel the dingus so except for the fact you know its there .. you dont think much about it but .. I felt it and it kind of threw me off. Turned me off the whole gun.

Still .. I like that they keep making new and new varieties .. I like seeing people or companies always pushing.

Well, the thing is......instead of usingdash numbers to indicate a design change, like S&W, they discontinue the old model, and produce a different model. I bought a like new LC9s last summer, and it was already discontinued!!!! Gives me a strange feeling to see discontinued on their website.! Bob
