I figured I'd drag out this old war horse again. I got this at Tulsa a few years back for $375. It started life as an Outddorsman with a 6 1/2 inch barrel. It shipped in September 1946. The barrel was cut down to 4 inches and it sports a King front sight, and it was "pawn shop" engraved. The charge holes were punched out to 357 magnum. The serial number is S 70791, it has the pre war long action. Of all the S&W's I have, this one is in the top 5 of my favorites.
