Verah nice. 1947's are special to me as I have my father's. I lettered it as well and it shipped in Nov 1947. Original box but no original tools to my knowledge.

after seeing your set up the aluminum hoop in the box could well be original.

Mine came with both rods and the early Helpful Hints. I acquired the original type wax paper and the SAT later on when I got into collecting. What is your serial number? Must be close to mine, and could be even lower. Big Larry

Nope. Mine is over twice your s/n. K8726. It shipped Nov 20, 1947. I'm guessing yours shipped in late Sept or Oct of 1947.
