Both presses will work just fine... but unless you are reloading really large rifle cases I like the Lyman Spar-T better... why? The "C' design is much easier for me to use than the RCBS "O" design.

From an engineer's point of view the "O" design is better because it is more rigid... from a users view the Spar-T is better being faster and easier to get to the cartridges... as a practical matter both work just fine.

I started with a Spar-T... I wish I still had it... a really nice little press. It worked fine for me for everything from 30-06 rifle to .32 S&W long cartridges.
