I took my Stevens mod 44 single shot and my Savage Sporter 25-20 rifles to the range a few days ago. I took some reloads with .259 Missouri bullets. I must have spent 2hrs with lead away patches
and brushes. The old 44 still looks nasty but it shows the rifling now. The Savage looked pretty good so off to the range. The old 44 didn't shoot any better than the bore looks. The Savage bolt action shows promise. These little center fires are really fun to shoot. Here are a couple of pics of the bolt action and my sighter target. The group measures about 5/8 in. Sure would help if I could see better.

Not a bad showing for the Savage. What range?

Some very nice classics and some fine shooting. Eyes were good enough to make sure that plate did not survive and your reloads look to be an excellent recipe.
