So I decided to head for the range. Took the Rem700 Varmint Special 308 as I worked up a very accurate load last fall. Thought I would see if I could get a decent group at 200yds.
My load is 40.4gr of Varget Powder with the 155gr Hornady ELD Match.
My rifle is all factory just out of the box. Just had a trigger adjustment done.
3 shot group, yes, I chickened out on a 5 shot group 😂 @ 200yds and group measured .689” center to center............

Good shooting. I need to do some testing with 155 grain bullets in my VLS in .308. Mostly used 168's so far. View attachment 492125

I’m getting great groups with the 168gr Hornady Match as well with the Varget Powder. I finally found a couple cans of Varget a couple weeks ago. This bullet is........oh, NICE Ruger and Rem700 👍👍👍
