It was a beautiful 82 degree day and the shale pit was calling. Our friend Tim was in town and joined us. We had a nice selection of guns. I brought my 617 and 625, the 638 was in my pocket. Curt brought his model 19, 638 and XD mod2 subcompact 45. Tim had his Glock 22, Shield in 40 caliber and Heritage 22

I usually shoot Federal 22 ammo but brought Remington Golden bullets today. I do believe that my 617 was happy with them. This was standing, offhand at 20 feet, and the bullseye is 1” In diameter

As Tim was shooting his Heritage 22, he commented that he didn’t know how the cowboys ever hit anything with that type of sights....

Had a great day and wished we could have shot longer than the hour and 45 minutes we had, but I had to head to my daughters for a cookout

As usual..another great day at the range. Love getting together with friends and being able to shoot a variety of firearms. Damn this country is great! Got to enjoy the model 19-4 and was spot on with the 638. Still think it great I can send 10-14 rounds of .45 down range with the XD MOD2. The 625 and 617 Jonesy brought were a blast to shoot. Gotta get the long guns out for the next trip to the range.
