1964. Should be the infamous and precious "Cokes" and I think that's what they are. But I am not the expert.

Those are coke grips, and your serial # puts production at about 1965, so yes, those are correct. Although this 29 could have also come with target grips, which have a slightly smaller area of checkering than cokes.

Right on Ken . I have a 29-2 from around 1966 and it has Walnut Diamond Targets with the smaller checkering area . When I got it I was wondering the same thing should it have had Coke profile grips .

Great lookin 29 boxhead !! The grips add $300 plus !! Either way you made out well . B-)
