"In 2018 [Bloomberg] spent more than $100 million to help elect Democrats . . . ," And this year he helped Democrats win control of both houses of the Virginia legislature."

What he spent in Virginia was chump change to Bloomberg. And now it seems he's jumping into the Democrat primary race because he sees the current crop is unelectable. Get real used to seeing his face as he attempts to purchase the American soul.

I’ve noticed a lot less of the simplistic “move to a free state” on gun boards lately, jus’ sayin’.

Re: Elections. It is what it is. The left came. They voted. They won. It's that simple. WV was hanging by a thread. The left broke that thread. KY went left on the governor. Well, the governor is a moderate as a left-winger could not have won. A lot boils down to who has the best organization on the ground. In 2016 ms. clinton generously helped Trump with her brain disengaged public statements. Cool. This time around, the demokrats managed not to stupidly give Republicans an advantage. Come 2020, Republicans need to really think about what they are saying about the different demographic groups whose support they will have to have in order to win the White House, Senate and take back the House. Sincerely. bruce.

Right.

And lets not forget the other republican US Senator from Utah, Mike Lee. Lee publicly called for Trump to step down just four weeks before election day! Anti-gun Hillary would be in the oval office today if Mike Lee had his way. Total disgrace. That said, Lee has warmed up to Trump since then and said he'll endorse 2020.

Picking up and moving isn't so easy. A lot of families are large, have land, businesses and community roots.

Tennessee is viewed as a gun friendly state today but that's been fairly recent. Our carry laws were about as draconian as it gets. It wasn't until the 90s that Tennessee started turning things around along with Shall Issue that swept the country. Things can change fast in either direction.

If federal gun control reaches too far ('too far' being an unknown) I think some states will push back. After Sandy Hook there was an anti-gun frenzy in Washington. In response, our legislators in Nashville introduced legislation making it against state law to enforce any new federal gun control. Pretty much the same idea as sanctuary city but at the state level. Of course no new gun laws came out of Washington and the bill went nowhere.
