I've seen a small number of older OMs, in person and in photos on the web, mostly prewar 22s, that have Sambar stag stocks. I own one myself, a well worn tack driver workhorse from 1938. I have heard both that these are factory (optional) and that they are not. The stocks I have look identical in shape to all others. There are no Colt mdeallions in them.
