I have recently acquired this neat looking .32 Regulation Police.
Serial number 436*** puts it somewhere around 1934 or maybe later.
Condition is very good, came with box and some papers and target.
According to the S&W Standard Catalog (Supica & Nahas), this was produced between 1917 and 1942, serial numbers 260000 to 536000. The words "Regulation Police" never featured on the gun. 5 Screw. Knurled round extractor knob, 6 shot fluted cylinder. Interesting to know that the stocks (grips) were not interchangeable with other previous models, did not feature a brand logo however they did have a stamping on the bottom left buttstock "Pat. Jun 5 1917".
Enjoy.
