Dear Forum members:
I am learning to work on older S&W pistols. I am in the process of working on the Pre Model 10, 5-screw, 38 special that belonged to my grandfather. I am tightening up the action and validating barrel cylinder alignment. I have a question regarding the cylinder stop. The old style cylinder stop was activated by a spring and plunger assy held in place by the trigger guard (5th) screw. I purchased a new cylinder stop from Brownells but upon inspection it is the new style with the hole in the lower front corner for the captive spring now used. Do any of you folks know of a source for the old style cylinder stop without the hole?
