Picked up a CVA tower pistol. Why, ~ why not?

Actually, it is a .45 Cal and will go along with my TCA .45 Hawken. Think I'll load it up with shot and have some fun with it. At any rate, it's a Spanish made gun and I was a bit concerned about the quality of the barrel. CVA had some serious issues with their guns a few years back, resulting in injuries and lawsuits. I've made sure that this is not one of the guns involved, and in fact found that it is actually plenty strong for the uses I have in mind...basically, it's safe to the loadings it was designed for. The gun cleaned up well, and needs a bit of tinkering to reduce the spring pressure ~ really stiff. But, that's the fun part....Perhaps a trip to LordSlashcats' depot to do a little tune-up... ;)

Anyrate, who'd of thunk...a new handgun for $125 :)

Pics!

I'm very surprised about the barrel problems. Italian and especially Spanish proving is top notch for their cottage firearms industries.

A good day is a day when someone increases my knowledge!

All of that Spanish proof mess completely slipped past my radar.

Thanks!
