Tomorrow is opening day of Pheasant season in Iowa. I remember 40 years ago that day sounded like a war going on all day. Now you almost hear no shooting. :(
I haven't shot a Ringneck for about 8 years. The paper says the numbers are up.
Gonna take my Dad's 97 Winchester and my German Shorthair JB out and shoot three Ringnecks.
Wish me luck.

Last time I lived in the Midwest, (early 1980s), one could simply walk up to a farmer's front door and ask to hunt with no issues. Wild pheasants were fun to hunt (until that ND weather slipped into the negative numbers)
