Someone returned this gun to the factory in the 80's for a full restoration.
8 3/8" bbl. Red ramp and W/O rear sights, Target Hammer,target trigger
and what appears to be, target Rosewood stocks. It remains unfired to this day. Big Larry

Not a big fan of long tubes, but I do appreciate the craftsmanship and beauty of that revolver. I do like those S&W nickel finishes

My..that's a big one. I had to look up a model 48..it's half a .44 Magnum. . Beauty!

I LOVE them! Esp. with a .44 Mag, that gets the muzzle blast a little further from my face.

I also have three M48-0's 4 screws. 2 are 8"ers and one is a 6". It was made 2nd month of production and is near new
