Someone returned this gun to the factory in the 80's for a full restoration.
8 3/8" bbl. Red ramp and W/O rear sights, Target Hammer,target trigger
and what appears to be, target Rosewood stocks. It remains unfired to this day. Big Larry

Not a big fan of long tubes, but I do appreciate the craftsmanship and beauty of that revolver. I do like those S&W nickel finishes

When you said “dandy and “scarce”, you sure weren’t kidding. That gun is treasure! You are darn luck to have found it.

I also have three M48-0's 4 screws. 2 are 8"ers and one is a 6". It was made 2nd month of production and is near new
in its original box. One of my first S&W's in my collection. Thanks, Big Larry
